Disabled access statement and facilities guide.

The staff at the White Horse are always happy to help as much as they can. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need any assistance.

We have our own car park, with plenty of room to gain access to and from your vehicle. The car park is sloped, however we have not found this to be a problem.

Please use the nearer half of the car park.

There is a distance of around 30-50 metres (90-150 foot) which involves crossing a quiet, but main road to get access to the pub. On arrival at the pub, there is a standard height cobbled kerb to pass to get to the front door, or a smoother flatter access to the side.

There is a roadside access to the side door, marked "B" where other vehicles can pass, and we can arrange parking on the garden driveway if required.

There is no street lighting in Bodle Street Green. if you are visually impaired, you might prefer your driver to bring your vehicle nearer the door for pick-ups and drop-offs.

Our road features a wide variety of pot-holes which are constantly changing in width and depth, but may be difficult to see at night time. If visiting after dark, please bring a torch or we are happy to help assist and accompany you with torch-light if needed.

The White Horse has two main entrances. One to the front, and one on the side.

Entrance 'A' is 785mm (2'7") wide, with a step 200mm (8") which is on the piss a bit.

Entrance 'B' is easier, we've got a ramp. There's a bump-free access via the garden driveway, or a bump to go over nearer the door.

Our toilets were made for a 1972 crowd.

The White Horse is naturally partitioned into two halves. The Pub half (highlighted in green) and the restaurant (in lilac). The areas marked with the numbers 1-3 are great areas for wheelchair users, as they are easily accessed with plenty of space around for assistance.

We have found these positions the most popular because they get you fully into the pub.

Never ever enter the kitchen if you value your own safety.

In here we keep our highly trained, but as-yet untamed staff who are well armed with knives and fire.

Your personal safety and survivability cannot be guaranteed in the kitchen, and although you may be lucky enough to leave alive you'll never be the same again.

It's not just a road... It's a Challenge...

Our lovely regional management love to ensure that we have an extensive and wide variety of constantly changing pot-holes to give you that rustic, safari-like off-road driving experience to enjoy on every visit to our beloved village of Bodle Street Green.

We appreciate that a lot of customers prefer to use steam-rollers, tractors and tracked military vehicles to get to us, so if you have one... You're in luck!

We like to think that the constantly changing pot-holes make each visit a truly unique experience!

Please drive carefully, and take extra special care in wet conditions, as the puddles can make the road damage much harder to spot. Please don't drink and drive as you are likely to spill it.
